Manuel is a technology strategist who has also built and managed mission-critical software by leading highly-skilled technology teams in both Fortune 100 and a number of start-up firms. Most recently he was Chief Architect at Northwestern Mutual and Head of Architecture for Core Management at Bridgewater Associates. He held CTO positions at UBS and KPMG where he led the Financial Services technology advisory practice.

Phil excels at turning client ideas into customized database applications for internal and customer use, and deploying complete solutions to the cloud. He has designed software solutions for businesses and not-for profits, and focuses on financial analysis applications.
Among his projects, he led the development of software to collect and analyze large amounts of data for a National Science Foundation-funded study at the Santa Fe Institute.
Phil has also designed and built eCommerce systems for various companies, including customer interfaces and database applications to function as primary drivers of revenue and growth.
In addition to computer science, Phil studied history and English at the University of New Mexico (UNM). The UNM Civil and Structural Engineering Department uses a hardware/software system of his design to automate testing of material samples.

A B. Eng. (statistician-economist) candidate at ENSAE ParisTech with a major in Statistics, Finance and Actuarial Science, Louise focuses on deep learning, machine learning, and in particular natural language processing.
Prior to working with SFJ, Louise has completed several internships at BNP Paribas Global Markets, Addactis, Natixis Investment Managers, Allianz Life Luxemburg and the French Association of Institutional Investors. Louise has a strong interest in micro-finance, green finance and new climate risks.
Alexandra is currently completing a Dual Degree at Columbia University & Sciences Po Paris. She studies politics, economics and business and has a strong interest in finance and technology.
Prior to SFJ, she worked in strategy consulting and has gained experience in digital transformation. She also worked on various entrepreneurial projects using technology to tackle problems affecting various African countries.

Quentin holds a master’s degree from Columbia University, with a major in Financial Engineering.
Quentin uses data analysis, quantitative modelling and machine learning methods applied to finance. He has a background in statistics, quantitative finance and programming.
Before working at SFJ Technologies, Quentin interned at BNP Paribas in the Quantitative Research division.
